1.Tell us about you & Oceana Day Spa-
ME- My name is Karen Connelly, I am a young business owner who enjoys spending time with my partner and being by the sea as much as possible. I love to travel and I am not afraid to try anything new! But my true passion is my baby Oceana
Oceana Day Spa is one of the most luxurious Day Spa’s in Sydney Australia.
The spa opened in 2004 and has been my life and love since then. Oceana Day Spa is the place for our clients to come and enjoy all their spa, medi-spa and beauty needs in a tranquil setting that is ran by a lovely welcoming family.
2. Why did you decide to start your business?
I have always wanted to my own business, so that has been a goal of mine since I was a teenager! All that I needed was a job that I was good at and that I enjoyed.
Also not working for a boss is a big plus in my books!
3. What are some of the exciting things that are happening in your business?
We are just about to launch an exciting NEW to Australia treatment for face and body care that will set us so far above our industry peers. The training that is required to use this equipment is much more advanced then anything I have seen through out my career! So watch this space……….
4. What do you do to keep yourself motivated?
I really focus on my goals and achieving those goals! Making sure I make time for myself, sometimes very easy to forget.
5. What do you think is the secret to happiness?
LOVE !!!
6. You know when life gets “challenging” what have you done in the past to pick yourself back up again?
Sit down with my Dad and talk it out, once I get things off my chest it seems to be a lot easier to face and deal with those challenges.
7. What do you think are the most important attributes a person should have?
Confidence, Positivity, Strength, Loyalty, Honesty, Good Work Ethic & to Be Happy!
